Paolo Sturiale

Paolo Sturiale is the owner and director of Sturiale Contemporary Art. In this capacity he has acted as a dealer, curator and consultant representing a small exclusive group of important mid-career artists.

"Prior to working with the group of artists now connected to SCA I travelled a great deal, I was a professional musician and played all over the world. I then became an ad agency director specialising in creative projects. Looking at and investigating art had always been a major passion and interest of mine so progressing to working with it on a full time basis was very natural for me".

"My travels to the Middle East was a profound eye opener. Once you get past the the enormity of the new constructions which up to a point are very impressive, you really get to appreciate the fact that you are in the cradle of civilization, a sort of historically vibrant middle ground between the North and Southern hemispheres. I have made many good friends and there are many projects in the pipeline to facilitate the exchange of various art exhibitions here in Europe and in the Middle East".

"The immediate future? Well that would have to include the rest of this year and all of next year as most of the projects I am involved with require long term planning and a lot of attention to detail. But I will be showing all my artists in various events and I will be publishing some books. The "Limbo" photographic series by Kevin Broadbery and "Stack Paintings"by Galvin Harrison to coincide with upcoming shows".
